Speaking in Colours Interwoven Aboriginal Education kits has now been endorsed and officially launched at our local Muloobinbah AECG.
This Aboriginal Education Kit has been created by a team of Aboriginal educators here at Speaking in Colour to help support and guide educators to embed Aboriginal perspectives into their curriculum in an authentic and culturally appropriate way.
For Early Learning Centres (Pre-school):
The Early learning educators manual has been written for Pre-Schools and Early Learning Centres to reflect the Early Leaning Frame work. Each activity, lesson suggestion and game has at least one Principle, Practice, and with several Learning Outcomes identified to support the educators in their monitoring and reporting.
For Primary (Stages 1-3):
The Primary schools manual for Stage 1-3 has been created to suit the National Curriculum. With each of the activities, lesson suggestions and games being linked to several outcomes across many Key Learning areas such as: English, CAPA, Science, Math’s, HSIE and PDHPE for ease in reporting and monitoring of outcomes.
For High schools (Stages 4-6):
The education manual for stages 4-6 is currently in construction, due for release later in 2016. As apart of this process is an opportunity for Interested schools in participating in a large scale public art work which will be exhibited in 2017 at a local gallery.
